A teenager has been arrested and charged with robbing two banks in less than a week.
Police arrested Jeremiah Johnson, 17, yesterday at 80 Riverdale Ave. in Yonkers. They say he robbed a Chase Bank on Main Street last Friday and then the Webster Bank at gunpoint on McLean Avenue on Tuesday.
People in the area are in disbelief over how young the suspect is. "Yeah I'm very shocked to hear it's a 17-year-old, I can't even believe a 17-year-old could even get away with that," says Christopher Gonzalez, of Yonkers.
Yonkers police say the investigation is still open and more arrests are pending.
