A Tarrytown nonprofit offers a farm to table experience with guided tours that will change the way you eat.

Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture offers tours that get you down to the roots and benefits of sustainable agriculture.

"Our focus is on restoring the food system regionally," says Jack Algiere, of Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture. "Hudson Valley is our home. We believe it has a unique character and authenticity."

Algiere says the tour is less about the information and more about the experience of feeling it and being out in nature. Dishes highlight whole grains, preservation and butchery.

There's also a walkthrough of the greenhouse where you can see rows of veggies.
