Curious residents will soon be able to get a clear view of the construction of the new Tappan Zee Bridge from the observation deck at Nyack's Memorial Park.
The area will be complete with stationary binoculars, movable tables, chairs and a handicap-accessible rail. It will remain long after the bridge work is complete.
Nyack Mayor Jen White says the state and the New York State Thruway Authority helped pay for the $450,000 project.
The observation deck is expected to be completed by this weekend. Another viewing area is available at the Hudson RiverWalk park in Tarrytown.
