The road to inspiration isn’t far from home - in fact, it’s a Road Trip: Close to Home in Croton Falls.
Lift Trucks Project is a unique working art studio by Tom Christopher.
Make a reservation to tour his studio, and he’ll show you a world beyond what meets the eye. “Come in and look see how a painter works. Demystify it. Bring your kids, if you have a kid who is an artist, I’ll show them that there are a million things you can do,” says Christopher.
You’ll see dozens of paintings that he is showing all over the world, inspired by simple moments.
Then, just when you thought you saw everything you wanted – walk downstairs and you come into a whole New World.
The shop is home to an eclectic collection of vintage artifacts you probably won’t find anywhere else.
Also, right down the road are craft beer and artifacts at Hygrade Market. It’s in a building that dates back to the 1800s. The owner, Dawn, will fix you a drink while you browse vintage gifts and art from the Hudson Valley and beyond.
And connected to this shop is Milton’s at Hygrade, where you will find burgers, salads, empanadas – a ton of delicious bites to eat here or for the ride home.
