A man is under arrest after police say he stabbed another man Sunday in a fight at a notorious Cortlandt hot spot.
State police say the victim had already been taken to the hospital when they arrived around 3:30 a.m. at LaCuna Café. Police believe the victim, 26-year-old Bayron Guevera Escobar, of Peekskill, may have initiated a fight at the club. Miguel Bustos-Soliz, of Cortlandt, faces a first-degree assault charge in the attack. Investigators were unable to find the weapon, but witnesses say 22-year-old Bustos-Soliz may have used a broken beer bottle. Escobar is listed in stable but critical condition.
An employee of the building's owner admits violence is an ongoing problem at the club.
