New York City has the most expensive babysitting rates, according to a new survey.
The Urbansitter survey said the average hourly rate per child in New York City is $23.45 for one child and $24.77 for two children.
The least expensive city was San Antonio, with $12.70 for one child and $15.66 for two children.
The survey said that there was generally an 11% increase in babysitting rates over the past year, outpacing inflation at 7%. In comparison, the rates rose just 3.9% from 2019 to 2020.
