Crews across the region are bracing for Tuesday’s snow – including Clarkstown, which has about 60 trucks and some spares ready to clear the streets.
Supervisor George Hoehmann told News 12’s Jade Nash that around 80 workers started prepping for the substantial snowfall during the early morning hours.
In addition to servicing the trucks, the supervisor says the town workers also brined certain roads.
Hoehmann says they let most of the town employees go home by 3 p.m. so they could be ready to come back in when the storm begins overnight.
"They'll deploy and start to hit those roads and it takes literally three hours just to complete a route, curb to curb," said the supervisor.
