NEW - TROPICS: Hurricane Ian made its first landfall at Cayo Costa, FL at 3:05 p.m. as a Category 4 Hurricane and then again south of Punta Gorda near Pirate Harbor at 4:35 p.m. with max winds at landfall as a Category 4. There remains some chance the Hudson Valley sees remnant impacts by this weekend & Monday.
NOW: Quiet weather feeling like fall with plenty of sunshine.
NEXT: Pleasant conditions through Friday with increasing clouds and rain chances beginning Saturday morning from what’s left of Ian.
OVERNIGHT: Clear again at night. Lows down to 50.
FRIDAY: More of the same. Sunny and a tad cooler. Highs in the upper 60s. Lows in the upper 40s.
THIS WEEKEND: Watching the latest trends with Hurricane Ian, as track shifts and upper-level flow will have an impact on how close Ian's remnant rain reaches. As of now, timing would be beginning Saturday morning through Monday. Highs will be in the mid-to-upper 60s, lows in the low 50s.
MONDAY - TUESDAY: Depending on how slowly Ian's remnants crawl up the coast, rain can linger through all of Monday. Those details are still being worked on. Cooler with mid 60s for highs. Clearing late Tuesday.
