Sunny, mild conditions for Monday in the Hudson Valley before midweek showers, thunderstorms

Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Meredith Garofalo says Monday will consist of sunny and mild conditions, but there will be showers and thunderstorms by the middle of the new workweek.

WHAT'S NEW -- Unsettled weather returns to the forecast later this week.
WHAT'S NEXT -- A couple more warm and dry days before the next storm moves in.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Meredith Garofalo says Monday will consist of sunny and mild conditions, but there will be showers and thunderstorms by the middle of the new workweek.
OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear and refreshing, lows in the upper 50s.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny with a few more afternoon clouds. Temperatures will remain in the upper 70s. Low near 58.
TUESDAY: Mainly cloudy with showers developing late evening. Highs around 76. Lows near 62.
WEDNESDAY: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Highs around 76. Lows near 63.
THURSDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH - A few thunderstorms will kick off during the afternoon. Some cells can intensify and become strong to severe. The highs will trend in the upper 70s to low 80s. Lows near 60.
FRIDAY: Showers will linger during the morning. Highs in the upper 70s. Low near 58.
