WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Scattered showers move into Monday evening behind a passing cold front. Along with some wet weather, winds will remain gusty reaching nearly 40 mph for some areas.
- Winds will weaken a little overnight but remain breezy into Tuesday and for most of this week.
- As surface temperatures drop, feel-like temperatures will fall to near-freezing temperatures and may be a few degrees below for some areas in the northern Hudson Valley.
- Winds will continue to weaken through the week, but cold mornings and cool afternoons will continue until about Friday.
- Temperatures are expected to rebound into the 60s and 70s for the weekend. Mornings will be around the 40s. Conditions will otherwise remain mainly dry and sunny with a few clouds.
FORECAST
OVERNIGHT: Winter feel, mostly clear skies and breezy. Feel-like temperatures will be near-freezing. Lows in the upper-30s.
TUESDAY: Frost is likely in the cold morning and very cool afternoon with breezy winds with sun and clouds. Highs in the mid- to low-50s. Lows in the upper-30s.
WEDNESDAY: Similar to Tuesday with another cold morning and still breezy during the day. Highs will be in the mid- to low-50s. Lows in the upper-30s.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny and not as cool. Highs will be in the upper-50s. Lows near 40 degrees.
