Shorts and tank tops – it’s a sight many haven't seen since last summer. But along Jenkinson's Boardwalk in Point Pleasant, the warm weather brought them out en masse.
“The rides are open. All the games on the boardwalk and food is open – so everyone is excited to get back out there," said Lisa Lightbody, marketing and social media manager at Jenkinson's Boardwalk.
"We do this every year. It’s our favorite time of the year…We literally have so much fun at the boardwalk," said Norah Fennell, of Morganville.
The warm weather is also a boon to businesses who can start their seasons a bit earlier.
"It's beautiful out right now…so we're excited about it. We're glad to see people out here," said Martell's Tiki Bar manager.
An Easter parade will take place on the boardwalk on Sunday.
“There's just a lot of exciting things going on to kick off the season," said Lightbody.
