A townhouse in Rockland County was damaged by a fast-moving fire Sunday night.
Officials say the flames sparked at a gated community on Chippewa Court in Suffern around 7 p.m.
Several fire departments were called to the scene.
First responders say they saw flames shooting from the roof of the home when they arrived. "As an officer came up to the building, the windows exploded out of it. Officers retreated a little bit, ensured there was nobody inside of this residence and at that point the fire department did arrive on scene," says Suffern Chief of Police Clarke Osborn
No one was hurt in the blaze.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
