Suffern police say a woman attempted to lure a child into her car Saturday afternoon.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. on Foxwood Avenue. Officials say they received a call from a family that told police their son was walking a dog when a woman drove up to him and told him to get into her car.

Police believe the vehicle was a sedan and possibly blue, and that they're using surveillance footage to try and track down the car.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
