A Rockland County company is being sued over a $310,000 electric bill.

Suffern Partners has not paid Orange & Rockland for services since September, according to the utility.

The company owns the former Novartis facility at 25 Old Mill Road in Suffern, which it bought last fall for $30 million.

O&R says it made multiple attempts to contact Suffern Partners before filing the lawsuit last month, but that no one at the company responded.

An O&R spokespeson says the only communication they had with the company is when Suffern Partners contacted the utility in May to ask the utility to cut power to the 585,000-square-foot building without going on campus.

An attorney for Suffern Partners told News 12 the company has a "legitimate dispute with Orange & Rockland over the accuracy of their billing," adding that Suffern Partners is running on generator power while trying to lease the property.
