A Suffern mother says her 11-year-old son who has autism was kicked off a public bus mid-route because he got sick.
Jessica Minogue says her son Donovan and her father were booted from a Hudson Link bus in White Plains after the boy vomited. The bus was traveling from the Palisades Center Mall to the Donovan's dad's home in Mount Vernon.
They were heading to Mount Vernon to celebrate the boy’s birthday. Minogue says the bus driver yelled at the two before kicking them out.
“He was extremely upset once he got off the bus and begging his father to get back on because his obsession with transportation, especially public transportation,” Minogue told News 12.
Donovan and his dad then walked to find a train and had to take another bus to get home.
“They put my son and his father in danger. And it's not OK,” says Minogue.
Rockland County Executive Ed Day has called the situation both “deplorable” and “disgusting.” He has asked for the driver to be suspended.

Global transportation company Transdev and the state Department of Transportation are investigating the incident, according to multiple sources.
