Families in Suffern saluted volunteer first responders this weekend.
The 107th annual Rockland County Volunteer Firefighters Parade was held Saturday.
Several departments were cheered on as they marched down Lafayette Avenue.
The village mayor says it was a very important day for everyone involved. "You know what, talking about volunteerism and the closeness to 9/11, it really brought in a sense of pride to every individual here in the Village of Suffern," says Suffern Mayor Edward Markunas.
Fire trucks and firefighting equipment were also on display for all to see.
