A new study reveals that the No. 1 spot in the state for young people is Pearl River.
According to consumer finance website Nerd Wallet, Pearl River is first in the state in the population growth for millennials, those born in the 1980s through early 2000s.
Residents of Pearl River say that they enjoy being close enough to the city to take the train in, but far enough away that they feel like they are in the suburbs.
One resident who moved to Pearl River says that the downtown scene is great, with many pubs, bars and breweries.
"It's a great little community, rent is great and the houses are great," said Taylor Levy.
