At least 14 students were harmed today after several other students released pepper spray at Banana Kelly High School in Longwood. Police and Department of Education officials say the incident occurred at around 1 p.m. when students sprayed the substance in the cafeteria and a nearby hallway. Some of the students were hospitalized, but are expected to recover. Education officials say the incident marks the second time in less than a month when pepper spray was released in a Bronx school. Police are still investigating.
