New Jersey state police are asking for the public’s help in solving an aggravated assault case.
Police say that an 8-year-old girl was seriously hurt when a rock was thrown at a school bus and struck the child.
They say it happened on Wednesday, around 2 p.m. on the northbound side of the New Jersey Turnpike near Exit 70A/B. They say the rock shattered a side window and struck the child.
Police are asking any witnesses or anyone who may have information about the incident to call the Troop “D” Newark Station Detective Bureau at 732-441-4500, ext. 1401.
Investigators are particularly seeking dashboard camera footage.
