Storms knock out power to thousands across the Hudson Valley

Utility crews have been working overnight to restore power.  Here are the latest outage numbers.

Nasty weather that crossed the Hudson Valley knocked down power lines and caused outages for thousands of homes and businesses at the height of the storms Monday night.
One of the worst hit areas was in Sloatsburg where there was heavy rain, lightning and periods of flooding.
A video shared by Clarkstown police shows wires that fell to the ground and were burning on the side of New Hempstead Road. A second utility pole was struck on Third Street.
Utility crews have been working since the storms to restore power.  Here are the latest outage numbers:
