Storm Details
A winter weather advisory has been issued for Orange and Western Ulster counties from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday. The concerns are for snow accumulations expected to be up to 1 inch for those areas, along with ice accumulations ranging from an icy glaze to a few hundredths of an inch.
Tuesday is the main weather maker. Expect snow and freezing rain to develop late in the morning, around 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Areas to the south will begin to warm up above freezing by the afternoon, transitioning any wintry mix into a soaking rain. These temperatures will continue to warm up across the region and bring widespread rain through the evening commute and overnight into Wednesday morning.
