News 12’s Emily Young is in Valhalla where the southbound Taconic Parkway is closed in both directions because of flooding.
Also, on the southbound Hutchinson River Parkway is closed between exits 7 (Pelhamdale Ave) and 8 (Webster Ave).
The Saw Mill is closed at exit 22.
The Bronx River Parkway is closed in Bronx in both directions.
In Rye Brook, the area of 140 Country Ridge Drive is flooded; Pine Ridge Road between Hunter Drive and Mohegan Lane is blocked off and closed due to flooding; the area of 229 Country Ridge Drive is impassable due to flooded road; there is a car stuck in the flooded road in front of 23 Lawridge Dr; Rockinghorse Trail and Country Ridge Drive is flooded due to water coming off the golf course.
Clarkstown police say South Pascack Road in Nanuet is closed at Forman Drive due to flooding.
Yonkers giving away free sandbags until 7 p.m. at 735 Saw Mill River Road.
Officials are urging drivers to reduce speed and be aware that puddles can be deeper than they appear, potentially leading to hydroplaning or even stalling your vehicle.
