STORM WATCH: Rain, gusty wind for Friday as remnants of Tropical Storm Nicole move into the Hudson Valley

NOW: A mild night ahead before a dry start to Veterans Day before the rain arrives early afternoon on Friday.
NEXT: STORM WATCH - Remnants from once Hurricane Nicole will in part impact the Hudson Valley with rain and gusty wind Friday afternoon, night and through around 8 a.m. Saturday.
GALE WARNING: 6 p.m. Friday through 10 a.m. Saturday for strong winds and dangerous boating conditions.
FORECAST:
OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy and mild with lows in the upper-40s to low-50s.

FRIDAY: STORM WATCH - VETERANS DAY -- A dry morning with partly to mostly cloudy skies. On the current track, rain develops earlier in the afternoon with periods of moderate to heavy rain during the afternoon, evening and night. There is the chance for isolated strong to severe thunderstorms. Turning windy with gusts by Friday night in the 30 to 40 mph range. This can lead to some power outages.
SATURDAY: Weather improves after 9 a.m. It will stay breezy, but the wind is gradually subsiding with sunshine breaking out during the morning. Highs around 69 degrees. Lows near 43.
SUNDAY: Coldest air of the season yet moves in. Sun and clouds. Highs around 50. Lows near 33.
NEXT WEEK: Colder with highs in the upper-40s to low-50s. Dry through Tuesday. Showers arrive later Wednesday. We could see our first flakes possibly mixing with rain showers in our higher elevations at some point later next week.
