The Hudson Valley will enjoy near record warmth today, but cold weather will rush in tomorrow and a winter storm bringing snow and ice is expected hit on Friday.
NOW: A lingering spotty light rain shower through mid-morning. It is incredibly warm already! Breaks of sun into the afternoon with highs in the mid- to upper-60s!
NEXT: A near 30 degree drop for tomorrow's high. Then, tracking a winter storm for late tomorrow night into Friday, which will bring a few inches of snow, changing to an icy mix and possibly some rain from South to North. Basically, just a nasty, messy travel day on Friday!
FORECAST
TODAY: Clouds and a spotty early morning rain shower. Breaks of sun this afternoon with temps in the mid- to upper-60s! RECORD: 65 (1990)
TONIGHT: Increasing clouds with lows back in the 20s.
THURSDAY: Mainly cloudy. Chance for a snow shower. Most of the day is dry. Highs in the mid-30s. Snow develops toward midnight. Lows around 31.

FRIDAY: STORM WATCH - hazardous travel. Heavy, wet snow changing to a wintry mix gradually from south to north after 2 a.m. Main roads likely end up more slushy/sloppy, but icy conditions will be possible through the morning. A change to plain rain is possible into the afternoon before ending, especially south.
SNOW TOTALS BEFORE CHANGEOVER: 1 to 3 inches south, more than 6 inches north of I-84, 3 to 6 inches in between. As most wake up, you won't be able to measure those snow totals well due to compacting and already seeing that wintry mix.

SATURDAY: Mainly sunny - colder - highs around 34. Lows around 23.

SUNDAY: Partly sunny - chance for a couple of late-day snow showers. Highs around 39. Lows near 21.
