The News 12 Storm Watch Team says heavy rain is expected to arrive overnight on Friday with more coastal storm weather coming Saturday.
Winter continues to have a grip across the tri-state with temperatures and winds that you'll need to layer up for. Behind the cold, a storm is brewing for the area by Saturday morning. Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Julian Seawright shares the timing and details here.
Tonight: Cloudy and cold. Lows near 29.
Friday: Mostly sunny with cloud cover moving in later. Highs near 54. Lows near 32.
Saturday (STORM WATCH): A coastal storm arrives early Saturday and ends Saturday evening bringing heavy rain and SE winds up to 20mph and gusts up to 35 mph. Current rain totals are between 1-3". No flood watches are in effect (yet) but we can expect some minor localized flooding. Highs near 53. Lows near 37.
Sunday: Sunny and breezy. Highs near 48. Lows near 35.
Monday: Mostly sunny. Highs near 53. Lows near 38.
