Stop & Shop is rolling out a new program that will give customers the chance to save money and reduce food waste.
The "Flashfood" initiative is expanding to over 60 stores in the Hudson Valley, Long Island, and New York City.
It's a digital marketplace that lets customers know when foods like meat, dairy, seafood, fresh produce, and baked goods -- are getting close to its "best by date."
Then, you can buy the items for up to half off directly on the app and pick them up at the store.
Right now, "Flashfood" is at select locations across the Hudson Valley.
