Students at one Rockland Elementary school are setting their sights high as they work to organize a fundraiser for cancer.
Third-graders at Stony Point Elementary School are putting together a sports day next month to help raise money for the Boomer Esiason foundation, Stand Up To Cancer and Friends of Karen.
The kids say right now their goal is to raise $15,000. The students' teacher says last year her class raised $12,000 so she sees the goal as reasonable.
This year, the class has major corporate and media sponsors. Rachel Dalrymple, of the New York Red Bulls soccer team, met with the youngsters to discuss options on how the team can help.
