Stimulus checks to start reaching Americans in 2 weeks
The Coronavirus Task Force gives its daily White House briefing.
BRIEFING UPDATES:
-Stimulus checks to start reaching Americans in two weeks, according to Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin. 
-Mnuchin is encouraging all small businesses with 500 employees or less to contact lenders. Bring workers back to work. Interest rate is paid for.
-100,000 tests a day are being done a day, said President Trump.
-COVID-19 hospital in New York City will be staffed with military, Trump announced.
-FEMA has delivered 4 million N95 masks.
-The website NYC.gov/helpnow shows how people can help New Yorkers.
-Trump took a test in "literally a minute" and 14 minutes later got a negative result.
-1.3 million tests have been conducted with more than 200,000 positive cases, said Vice President Mike Pence.
-"We want you to take to heart the president's 30-day coronavirus guidelines," said Pence.
-More than 7,000 ventilators have been sent to states, according to Navy Rear Adm. John Polowczyk.
-Dr. Deborah Birx says wearing a mask is not a substitute for the president's guidelines.
-Birx said we are only strong if every American is following the guidelines and she says not every American is following the guidelines.
