Stew Leonard's is giving a helping hand to those in need across the Hudson Valley this Thanksgiving.
Stew Leonard's 36th Annual Turkey Brigade helps provide turkeys to families. The company donated 2,000 turkeys across the tri-state area. Four hundred of the turkeys were handed out in Yonkers.
The Community Memorial Church in Yonkers was one of 40 organizations in the Hudson Valley receiving the turkeys from Stew Leonard's.
Also helping spread cheer is Kelly Vulpone, who is with Westchester Hills P.S. 29. The school is hosting a food drive to hand out some of the turkeys received from Stew Leonard's.
Volpe says it's great to teach students the importance of helping their community.
