A Pine Bush man, who police say is out on bail for inappropriately touching an 11-year-old girl, is now under arrest for allegedly luring children and exposing his genitalia to them in Bloomingburg.
State police arrested 74-year-old James Grant Jr., Wednesday, after a complaint of a man exposing himself to an 8-year-old girl and attempting to lure children. Authorities say Grant asked the 8-year-old child to touch him during the incident outside of the Bloomingburg Post Office on July 19.
Authorities say their investigation found several residents who claimed he also tried to lure children near Winterton Road and identified Grant through photographs and video footage taken of him during the incidents.
Grant was charged with luring a child to commit a crime, lewdness, exposing body in public, and endangering the welfare of a child. He is currently in Sullivan County Jail on $10,000 bail
The most recent incidents happened when Grant allegedly inappropriately touched a girl while her mother, who was looking at his home with a realtor to buy it, left the child with Grant and his puppies while she looked at his detached garage, police say.
State police ask anyone with further information about Grant or who may have been victimized by Grant to call their Ellenville Barracks at 845-626-2801.
