Drivers in South Blooming Grove may soon see some relief in a high-traffic area thanks to a new traffic signal.
The village shared a photo on Facebook Friday of the new left turn signal at the corner of the State Route 208 and Mountain Road.
The state Department of Transportation says they approved South Blooming grove's permit request to do the work.
News 12 reported on traffic concerns at the intersection earlier this month when the state removed what they said was an unauthorized passing lane that town officials said the village put in to ease congestion.
South Blooming Grove says the new turning lane is expected to improve traffic and reduce accidents and is “already showing positive results.”
