The state Attorney General’s Office will appeal a judge’s ruling that threw out a murder conviction against a state trooper.
Christopher Baldner is accused of killing 11-year-old Monica Goods, from Brooklyn, during a high-speed chase in Ulster County in 2020.
The judge wrote last week that the evidence presented before the grand jury was not legally sufficient.
Baldner still faces charges of second-degree manslaughter and second-degree reckless endangerment.
Monica’s mother had urged the Attorney General's Office to appeal the ruling.
