A Connecticut man is facing charges for illegally having a gun in Putnam County, New York.

Town of Patterson police pulled over Aaron Freeze, of Danbury, Connecticut, last week. Freeze allegedly told the officer that he had a gun, but not a permit for it.

“They didn’t tell me I needed that when I bought it. They just sold it to me,” Freeze could be heard saying on a police bodycam video.

“You’re in New York now, kid,” the officer can be heard saying.

Officials say that Freeze’s car also had an expired registration.

Freeze was charged with criminal possession of a firearm and given multiple tickets.
