News 12 was on McLean Avenue in Yonkers Saturday – a popular area for people to gather and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

Inside McKeon's, it was standing room only.

Bar owner John Lyons called it the “busiest night of the year.”

“Everyone is in a good mood and everyone is singing along and wearing green. It's just a magnificent day,” said Lyons.

State police have urged anyone drinking alcohol to take a taxi or ride service home. They say troopers will be out in full force with sobriety checkpoints, additional DWI patrols and stings for underage drinking.
