Christmas came early Saturday night for some very happy children in Spring Valley, thanks to the Spring Valley Fire Department's annual Christmas parade.
Also known as the "Santa Drive-By", the annual event is a crowd favorite among families in the village.
The parade route kicked off at the Spring Valley Hook and Ladder Fire Station. The one-hour long procession made its way throughout the streets of the village, stopping as a fire truck-riding Santa Claus handed out toys and presents to the excited children.
The toys and gifts are all donated and given to the children as a way of saying "Merry Christmas" to the community.
