Police say an Orange County special education teacher is facing charges after allegedly hitting a student.
Marie Mannion, a teacher at Pine Bush High School, hit a 15-year-old student in the back of the head, according to police.
Witnesses say the alleged attack was unprovoked.
School officials say Mannion was immediately removed from the classroom after the incident.
Mannion is facing multiple charges, including endangering the welfare of a child.
