SPCA Westchester rescues more cats from Yorktown home where police found couple dead

The Westchester SPCA says 136 cats total were removed, and they set traps for about 20 they think are still inside.

More than 100 cats were removed Friday from the Yorktown home where police found a couple dead earlier this week.
The Westchester SPCA says 136 cats total were removed, and they set traps for about 20 they think are still inside.

SPCA staff say some of the cats are pregnant. Others have illnesses and parasites, but they're doing OK.

The SPCA needs help taking care of them and is hoping to raise $40,000.
It's raised about $16,000 so far.

Police haven't released the names of the couple who died or information about how they died. Investigators don't suspect foul play.
