Sleepy Hollow gears up for another busy weekend ahead of 150th anniversary celebration

Large crowds are expected again in the Village of Sleepy Hollow as tourists partake in its ongoing 150th anniversary celebration.
The block party is taking place on Beekman Avenue from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18 and Saturday, Oct. 19.
Brian Doyle, a co-owner of J.P. Doyle's, says the influx this month has kept his business busy.
He attributes this to the nicer weather this year versus last year, and social media.
"We've seen people from Canada, we've seen people from Columbia," Doyle said, "...all over the United States."

This message comes following the village's street fair, held two weeks ago, which saw an influx of over 30,000 people and caused major traffic jams.
The mayor emphasized if the traffic becomes serious, the village will start closing roads and diverting traffic.
Road closures will be on Beekman avenue from Pocantico Street to Route 9 until midnight Friday, and until 3 p.m. to midnight Saturday.
