There was an outpouring of support in Rockland County yesterday for the two slain New York City police officers.
More than 100 people gathered at the Central Avenue field in Pearl River for a candlelight vigil to mourn the loss of police officers Wenjian Liu and Raphael Ramos.
The officers were shot at point blank range while in their patrol car Saturday in Brooklyn.
Many local officers joined the vigil to show their solidarity with New York City's finest. Leaders say the violence must end. "We have laws. We have to all abide by the laws. We have to put all our differences aside, sit down and work through this system so we see no more blood shed," Rockland County Sheriff Lou Falco.
