Shopping, lights, skating and Santa all at Cross County Center in Yonkers
Scrambling to cross off those holiday wish lists?
Shopping, shimmery lights, skating and Santa?! If you want it all, then take a Road Trip: Close to Home to the Cross County Center in Yonkers.
“Cross County Center is an amazing Road Trip, it’s easy to get to, we have wonderful shopping, great dining and lots of holiday fun for the entire family,” says Liz Pollack, of the Cross County Center.
Kids - do not forget to bring your Christmas wish lists to drop in Santa’s mailbox before meeting him!! “Came to take pictures with Santa! Keep memorabilia for her and also to send it out to the family,” says Jose Santana, of the Bronx.
“He has a new house here at Cross County Center, right by GAP, and you can come in, make your reservation, take your photo, share your wish list,” explains Pollack.
And after meeting the big guy, have some fun on the ice with Santa’s little helper. Skate around the pop-up rink at the center of it all!
Also, don’t forget to snap a pic under the 40-foot-tall Christmas tree! “And what’s really magical about it, is there is a walk-thru feature, so you come get a great selfie, get a family photo, and it's just a beautiful feature that makes the holiday shopping even more festive,” advises Pollack.
With more than 80 shops to explore, you’re bound to walk out with bags of goodies, filled for your loved ones this holiday.
But don’t shop till you drop! Treat yourself to a savory, or sweet, pick-me-up at the food trucks, like the Waffle Box or Grey’s Donuts.
And enjoy those treats inside some igloos, which are just the right place to shelter from the cold and enjoy your snacks.
