Shoppers looking to pick up last-minute food items packed Bronx stores on Christmas Eve.
The holiday food rush was in full swing in the borough's Little Italy, where long lines were a regular occurrence and double-parked vehicles were a common sight along Arthur Avenue.
Some shoppers said they waited for an hour, but they didn't mind because it just doesn't seem like Christmas to them without a visit to Arthur Avenue businesses.
"We always like to have fresh Italian products and this is kind of one of the best places to get it," said Lou Cosentino, of Eastchester.
Shopper Greg Gold agreed, saying it is a family tradition. "We always come down here," he said.
