The life of 16-year-old Emily Cornish was remembered by friends and family during her wake Tuesday night.
Cornish was killed in a drunk driving car crash allegedly caused by her friend?s mother, Ann Maria Ciarcia. Police say Ciarcia admitted to driving after a night of drinking with her daughter at the Continental Club in New York City. The mother of four has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and DWI.
Friendship bracelets were passed out amongst those attending the wake to help ease the pain and frustration of a life cut short. Friends and family say they will remember Cornish's unique, energetic and fun persona.
