A 39-year-old sexton at a Yonkers church has been indicted on felony child sex abuse charges.

The felony sexual abuse charges against Rolando Ruiz, of Yonkers are related to alleged rape and sexual abuse of a child under the age of 13, beginning in 2020, says Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace.

Ruiz is further alleged to have recorded the victim on his cellphone during two of the incidents.

DA Cacace says these are "among the more disturbing allegations I have encountered during my tenure."
