Justice has been delayed in the case of a Middletown man facing sentencing in a murder-for-hire plot.
Damante Stansberry pleaded guilty last March in the fatal stabbing of Jeffrey Harris of Wallkill in October 2022.
Sentencing for the case was adjourned Monday until Feb. 28.
Prosecutors say Stansberry was hired by Harris' neighbor, Enoch Lowe, to kill Harris. Lowe and Harris had a long-lasting feud.
Stansberry is facing up to 20 years in prison.
