There is a debate over security at a housing complex in Yonkers after a man was murdered Saturday morning.
Antonio Barnett, 22, was arrested Saturday just hours after allegedly stabbing 21 year-old David Benitez to death. Police say Barnett chased the victim outside the Schlobohm housing complex near Schroeder Street and Palisade Avenue. Benitez's friends say a locked gate prevented him from getting into the complex, even though a guard was stationed nearby.
Officials tell News 12 Westchester that Benitez was able to get inside and later collapsed, and that the gate actually prevented Barnett from getting in.
Officials also say that this was not a random act of violence and that the two men knew each other.
