Some JetBlue passengers flying out of Westchester County Airport Sunday had their flight diverted due to a cabin pressure indicator light.
Flight 591 was en route to Orlando, Florida, but had to make an unexpected stop at JFK Airport shortly after taking off at around 9:30 a.m. Officials said a cabin pressure indicator light went off, causing the pilot to land an hour later.
A passenger who wouldn't give his name called News 12 while waiting on the tarmac as crews worked on the plane. The flight eventually took off, but JetBlue officials planned to switch planes if a serious mechanical issue was found.
About two weeks ago, a JetBlue flight out of Westchester to Fort Myers, Florida was delayed more than eight hours before being canceled due to a mechanical issue.
