Neighbors in Fordham set up a memorial filled with flowers, candles and photos of the two boys who died in an apartment building fire.

The memorial for Liam and Isis Parks is set up outside of 2609 Bainbridge Ave. as a third sibling remains in critical condition.

The pictures of 1-year-old Liam and 6-year-old Isis Parks were posted above a dozen candles inside a white shed. The two children died after injuries suffered from the fire inside the building on May 11.

The tribute was set-up steps from boarded windows and charred exteriors that remain of the building from the fire.

Neighbors told News 12 the destructive aftermath is a stark reminder of the frightening incident.

"The worst scream that you ever hear from a mom screaming for her kids. 'Help me. My kids are inside of the burning house'," said one neighbor, Angel.

Some people were seen lighting candles and placing it under the children's pictures. Other community members stopped on their way down Bainbridge Avenue, watching the memorial in silence before continuing their commutes home.

Another neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous, said he saw the children before the fire. He vividly remembers seeing how happy the children were as they waved at neighbors standing outside of the building.

The community said the lives lost are being felt by everyone, including strangers they said have visited the memorial trying to help the family cover funeral costs.

Isis and Liam's brother remains in in the hospital as of Saturday evening.

Thirty-eight people were displaced from their apartments as fire officials work to determine the cause of the fire.
