Showers and downpours moved through late last night, but some lingering drizzle and fog hung around this morning. Going through the day will involve mainly cloudy skies with some sunny breaks trying to pop up. Later tonight though, patchy fog and drizzle return with the visibility being reduced at times. Saturday may have some foggy sights to start the day.
The weekend is almost here, and so are milder temperatures. The average high is 45 degrees for this time of year. Temperatures Saturday will get towards 50 degrees but on Sunday, they will get towards the upper 50s. I wouldn't be surprised if some spots get into the low 60s. But in between the two days will be a round of showers and downpours. We may get our first rumbles of thunder for the season with a chance of thunderstorms between 10 p.m. to 1 a. m. The storm potential is low, but still possible as a cold front approaches.
Speaking of this weekend, we "Spring Forward" with Daylight Saving Time starting Sunday morning. At 2 a.m. Sunday, the clocks will jump forward an hour. We get an extra hour of daylight but loose an hour of sleep.
The first half of next week will feel very Spring-like with temps rising into the 60s, potentially into the 70s. But, that warmth will be short-lived, as a cold front approaches Wednesday evening, bringing a rain chance and then a drop in temperatures to more seasonal levels.
