The search for the man who went missing in the Hudson River last week has been called off.
Dutchess County Police and other crews have been looking for 49-year-old Paul Moschitta since last Tuesday.
Moschitta disappeared in the waters near Victor C. Waryas Park in Poughkeepsie after he jumped into the river to help save a friend in distress.
The distressed swimmer was rescued by first responders as police launched helicopters and boats to look for Moschitta.
