Trader Joe's in Scarsdale is closed after a staff member died due to complications from the coronavirus.
The grocery chain announced on their website that the location on White Plains Road will be closed until Thursday for fellow staff to grieve.
The company says the store will also undergo additional precautionary cleaning and sanitization.
A spokesman says “the health and safety of our Crew Members and customers remain our top priority,” and that employees will be paid while the store is closed. Staff will also be given two additional paid days off to take when needed through the end of the month.
